Who is Jamar L. Shaw

Tenacity is the most critical trait the majority of people under or overdevelops in the pursuit of success. Either quick success makes them complacent or underachievement makes them anxious. Steadfast persistence never wavers and can be found in only a few select individuals. My strength of will and firmness of purpose are exhibited in every show, every comp, every script, as long as there is breath left in my body I will perform at my topmost level everyday.

My Story

So, a bit about me - I've been in the entertainment industry for over 10 years coming from the small southern town of Macon, Georgia. Initially, I was just an audio specialist graduate of Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Production making a living in my hometown through my own starter audio company.

It wasn't enough, financially I could exist comfortably but my soul wasn't content. I barrelled forward through many obstacles and not long after earned my Master of Arts in Animation and Visual FX at the Academy of Art University. I work mainly as a VFX Compositor these days when I'm not performing as a musician under the stage name JeaLou5.

I've worked on several projects with VFX artists, graphic designers, video game designers, musicians, producers, and engineers around the world. Being able to tackle entertainment and media from the audio and visual sides perspectively has allotted me personal experiences many do not get a chance to have.

My travels have allowed me to meet and work with entertainment moguls like Niantic, Warner Bros., Universal Studios, Apple, Catherine Tate (Minority Report, Star Wars, Men in Black), Sasha Korelis (Idlewild, La Noria), LePreston Porter (aka Snootie Wild) R.I.P, and many more.

My work can be seen on the hit children's television show Yo Gabba Gabbland! (2024), Wizarding World of Harry Potter (2024), The Fix (2024), Hide Behind (2023 short), World of Steam (TBD), Just Deal With it (2022 short), LYD the Documentary (2022), several hundred songs & music videos, podcasts, commercials, and online ads.
